Volleyball Recap: The Cambridge School Comes Up Short

The Cambridge School lost against Mountain Empire on September 6th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Griffins came up short against the Redhawks, falling 3-0. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Mountain Empire found their leader in sophomore Rowan Smith, who had ten digs and one assist. Smith has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

The Cambridge School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mountain Empire, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. The Cambridge School will take on rival Monarch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mountain Empire is set to challenge their familiar foe O'Farrell Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
