Baseball Recap: Sandy Valley Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Sandy Valley kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 9-2 to the Harrison Central Huskies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Sandy Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Hoffarth, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Looking ahead, Sandy Valley will challenge Fairless at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harrison Central, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Brooke at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
