Basketball Game Preview: West Phoenix Eagles vs. Pan-American

West Phoenix is on a nine-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Pan-American a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The West Phoenix Eagles will welcome Pan-American at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, West Phoenix had to suffer through a 102-46 loss at the hands of Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Pan-American humbled Maya with a 64-18 victory. The game marked Pan-American's most dominant victory of the season.

West Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Pan-American, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

West Phoenix didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Pan-American in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 69-65 victory. Does West Phoenix have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pan-American turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
