Baseball Game Preview: Poway Titans vs. Vista Panthers

For the second straight game, Poway will face off against Vista. The Titans will welcome the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Poway has 12 straight wins, Vista has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Poway beats Vista with seven runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Titans beat the Panthers on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-1. Considering the Titans have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Vista's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Gamino, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Gamino has snagged this season.

Poway's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
