Softball Recap: New Holstein Comes Up Short

New Holstein lost against Lomira back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Huskies came up short against the Lions, falling 8-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Holstein saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Kraus, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Kraus' first of the season.

New Holstein's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Lomira, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Coming up, New Holstein will face off against Chilton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Lomira, they will take on Omro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
