Basketball Recap: Logan Comes Up Short

Logan lost against Pickerington Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Logan Chieftains were outmatched by the Pickerington Central Tigers and fell 53-17. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Tigers are ranked 25th).

Despite the loss, Logan still got an impressive performance from Makenzie Daubenmire, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hinton, who scored three points.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Pickerington Central, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Logan has already played their next match, a 62-28 defeat against Bloom-Carroll on the 29th. As for Pickerington Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-19 win against Lancaster on the 31st.
