While Trinity's victory against Weed wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves skirted past the Cougars 5-4. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jessica Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eva Ehlerding, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Sophia Isbell was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Weed, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Trinity beat the Cougars by a score of 19-4 later that day.
