Volleyball Recap: Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Dominion Academy

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Christian Academy and Dominion Academy meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Sabers 3-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory back in September.

Christian Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-18, 25-19.

Serenity Abbott paced Christian Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Abbott got some help from Kelsi Hiler and her 19 assists. Abbott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Christian Academy's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-8. As for Dominion Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dominion Academy, they will head out to challenge Wilmington Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
