Basketball Recap: Curry Gets the Win

Curry got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They had just enough and edged the Tarrant Wildcats out 48-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since January 29, 2024.

Loss or not, Tarrant got some senior leadership from Victoria Fuller and Zarriyah Carter. Fuller went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc on her way to 21 points, while Carter dropped a double-double on ten points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fuller has scored all season.

Curry's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Tarrant, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Curry will have a chance to go back-to-back against Tarrant: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
