Flag Football Game Preview: Hueneme Vikings vs. Channel Islands Raiders

The Hueneme Vikings will take on the Channel Islands Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hueneme's offense might be in the hot seat on Wednesday considering what happened against Santa Paula on Wednesday. They took a blow against the Cardinals, falling 27-0. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Channel Islands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 37-18 fall against Edison. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Chargers are ranked 45th).

Hueneme's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Channel Islands, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Hueneme might still be hurting after the 32-6 loss they got from Channel Islands when the teams last played on September 5th. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
