Baseball Game Preview: Franklin County Flyers vs. Harrison County Thorobreds/Fillies

Franklin County is 0-3 against Harrison County since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Flyers will face off against the Thorobreds/Fillies at 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Franklin County came up short against Western Hills and fell 9-4.

Meanwhile, Harrison County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Braves. Give the Thorobreds/Fillies' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Harrison County's win bumped their record up to 19-2-1. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Franklin County couldn't quite get it done against Harrison County in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 as they fell 13-8. Can the Flyers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
