Softball Preview: West Bolivar Eagles vs. Palmer Dragons

The West Bolivar Eagles will be playing at home against the Palmer Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Bolivar will be strutting in after a win while Palmer will be coming in after a defeat.

Even though South Delta scored an imposing 24 runs on Thursday, West Bolivar still came out on top. West Bolivar had just enough and edged South Delta out 26-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Bolivar.

A'kiya Harp and Bria King did most of the damage at the plate: Harp scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while King scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Taliyah Young, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 18-0 defeat at the hands of Calhoun City.

West Bolivar's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
