There's no place like home for Smoky Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the East Henderson Eagles on Wednesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Smoky Mountain's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while East Henderson are ranked 295th).

Smoky Mountain hit East Henderson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Angela Gonzalez, Gabriella Rosas, and Macy Craft.

Smoky Mountain's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for East Henderson, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8-2.

Smoky Mountain will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for East Henderson, they will head out to face off against Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
