Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Has No Trouble Against Brunswick

St. Edward won the last time they faced Brunswick and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles blew past the Blue Devils 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

St. Edward's got stronger as the match went on, holding Brunswick to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-14.

St. Edward found their leader in freshman Xavier Marflak, who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Marflak. Mali Puerta-Wong also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

St. Edward's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.

Coming up, St. Edward will square off against Garfield Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brunswick, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Medina on the 3rd.
