Softball Recap: Pierre T.F. Riggs Comes Up Short

Pierre T.F. Riggs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Governors of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Pierre T.F. Riggs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Washington, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coincidentally, Pierre T.F. Riggs and Washington will both be playing Brandon Valley the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Lynx at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Governors will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
