Community Christian had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They took their game with ease, bagging an 86-44 victory over the Faith Christian Patriots. This was payback for the Cyclones, who suffered a 99-82 loss the last time these two teams met.

Community Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Beamon led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 17 boards. Beamon is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Pierce Stone, who shot 42% from the field en route to 15 points in addition to six steals and five assists.

Community Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Faith Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Community Christian is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Greenfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian and Northwood Temple Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
