Softball Game Preview: Eupora Eagles vs. Vardaman Rams

The Eupora Eagles will take on the Vardaman Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Eupora will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Eupora earned a 6-2 victory over East Webster.

Meanwhile, Vardaman came up short against Houston on Thursday, falling 10-3. The Rams have struggled against the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Adley Teasley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Lyla Chandler, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Eupora's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Vardaman, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Everything went Eupora's way against Vardaman when the teams last played back in February, as Eupora made off with an 18-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
