Volleyball Recap: Ingomar Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Ingomar entered their tilt with West Union on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ingomar not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept West Union between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.

Bella Phifer paced Ingomar's offense, picking up 16 kills. Phifer got some help from Abby Miller and her 25 assists. Finally, Phifer was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Ingomar's win bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for West Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ingomar and West Union will both be playing East Union the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Urchins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
