While Crystal River's win against South Sumter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates won by a run and slipped past the Raiders 1-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Violet Flynn's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Crystal River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matti Patrick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Crystal River's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for South Sumter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Crystal River will face off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Sumter, they will take on Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
