Basketball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bear Lake last Thursday, Marion came back down to earth. The Marion Eagles came up short against the Tri-Unity Christian Defenders on Saturday, falling 50-29. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Tri-Unity Christian, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Marion and Tri-Unity Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Marion will take on Mason County Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 378 places (337 vs. 715). Meanwhile, Tri-Unity Christian (ranked 77th) will meet Grand River Prep (ranked 674th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
