Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Tornados vs. Temple City Rams

The Hoover Tornados will take on the Temple City Rams in a tournament on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hoover picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They managed a 66-61 win over Monrovia. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornados.

Meanwhile, Temple City slipped by San Gabriel 42-41 on Saturday.

Temple City's win came from a few key players Hoover will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Chang, who posted 12 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Mason Collins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Temple City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Hoover, their record is now 8-5.

Hoover beat Temple City 70-60 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Hoover repeat their success, or does Temple City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
