Soccer Recap: Bryant Comes Up Short

If Bryant was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mary G. Montgomery last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bryant Hurricanes came up short against the Enterprise Wildcats on Saturday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Wildcats are ranked 27th).

Bryant has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Enterprise and bumps their season record up to 4-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bryant will head out to square off against Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Enterprise, they are taking a road trip to face off against Montgomery Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Enterprise a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
