Baseball Recap: Abbeville Wildcats vs. Midland Rebels
After flying high against Jeanerette last Thursday, Abbeville came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 16-13 to the Midland Rebels on Saturday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Nathan Daniels led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Abbeville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-13 when he doesn't). Gage LaFluer was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
Abbeville's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Midland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.
