Volleyball Game Preview: Leadership vs. Oakland Unity

After both having extra time off, Leadership and Oakland Unity will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Leadership is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering KIPP King just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

Leadership took KIPP King into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Oakland Unity lost 3-0 to KIPP King last Monday. Oakland Unity has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oakland Unity now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Leadership, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Leadership took their win against Oakland Unity when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leadership since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
