Baseball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester was the 10-5 winner over Sparta when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Yellowjackets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bulldogs since on Thursday.

Chester saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Malley, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Sparta, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

Chester has already played their next game, a 6-3 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 28th. As for Sparta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-6 victory against Okawville on the 28th.
