Baseball Game Preview: Brookfield Central Lancers vs. Catholic Memorial Crusaders

The Brookfield Central Lancers will head out to square off against the Catholic Memorial Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Brookfield Central didn't have quite enough to beat Germantown and fell 8-6. The Lancers have struggled against the Warhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Catholic Memorial hadn't done well against Waukesha West recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 7-6.

Miken Haddon was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Kawczynski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Catholic Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Catholic Memorial's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Brookfield Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Everything went Brookfield Central's way against Catholic Memorial in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Brookfield Central made off with a 12-1 victory. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
