Volleyball Recap: Sharpstown Takes a Loss

Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rhinos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-7, 25-10.

Sharpstown's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sharpstown is set to face off against their familiar foe Austin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Carnegie Vanguard will challenge rival Galena Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
