Basketball Recap: Rockmart Comes Up Short

Rockmart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Sonoraville Phoenix and fell 57-26. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Phoenix are ranked 43rd).

Rockmart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Sonoraville, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockmart has already played their next contest (against Murray County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sonoraville has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Ringgold.
