Basketball Game Preview: Bethlehem Wildcats vs. Central Jaguars + How To Watch

The Bethlehem Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Central Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bethlehem knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.

Bethlehem is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Chipley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 90-68. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Bethlehem got top-tier performance from Kason Paul, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine assists. Paul is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kolton Amerson, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 18 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Central faced off against Paxton on Friday. The Jaguars fell 62-49 to the Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Bethlehem, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Bethlehem strolled past Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 53-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
