Basketball Recap: Memphis Comes Up Short

Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 55-29 to the Genesee Wolves. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.

Averie Zinn was her usual excellent self, going 13 for 31 to rack up 42 points and six steals for Genesee. The matchup was Zinn's 34th in a row with at least 15 points. Jazmin Ross was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Genesee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Coming up, Memphis is taking a road trip to square off against Harbor Beach at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. As for Genesee, they will face off against Lakeville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
