Baseball Recap: Schenck Comes Up Short

Schenck was the 11-1 winner over Penobscot Valley when they last played one another on May 5th, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Howlers on Tuesday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caleb Peavey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Schenck's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Penobscot Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.

Schenck will take on Shead at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Penobscot Valley, they will square off against Bangor Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
