Nansemond River hasn't had much luck against King's Fork recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Nansemond River Warriors will welcome the King's Fork Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Nansemond River got the win against Western Branch by a conclusive 71-47. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, King's Fork came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 61-22. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Hawks are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nansemond River pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.3 points. As for King's Fork, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
