After a string of 15 wins dating back to last season, Dresden's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Dyersburg Trojans, falling 16-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mollie Oliver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Alyssa Wilson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Dresden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Dyersburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dresden will square off against Lake County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Dresden's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Dyersburg, they will challenge Obion County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
