Football Recap: Weir Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 35-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Fairmont Bees. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Riders of the 36-23 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for East Fairmont, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Weir will square off against East Liverpool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Riders will be up against the Potters' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Fairmont, they will face off against Buckhannon-Upshur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
