Basketball Recap: Briarwood Takes a Loss

Briarwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Brazosport Christian Eagles and fell 76-29. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 58-33 loss two weeks ago.

Luke Coburn was nothing short of spectacular for Brazosport Christian: he dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Coburn a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Blake Henderson, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

Briarwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Brazosport Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

As of now, neither Briarwood nor Brazosport Christian have any future games scheduled.
