Basketball Recap: Armstrong Trojans vs. Hoopeston Cornjerkers

After flying high against Urbana University last Friday, Armstrong came back down to earth. The Armstrong Trojans fell 48-41 to the Hoopeston Cornjerkers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Cornjerkers: they've now lost three in a row.

Hoopeston can attribute much of their success to Claire Dixon, who posted 21 points and three steals. Dixon continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mady Klaber, who scored seven points.
