Baseball Recap: Waterford Extends Winning Streak to Three

Waterford entered their tilt with Stone Ridge Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-7 on Tuesday.

Nathyn Morris was incredible, going 1-for-4 with five stolen bases and one run. Waterford is undefeated when Morris posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gauge Juarez, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Waterford's record is now 8-12. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterford will take on Mariposa County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will face off against Denair at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
