It was a good run, but Auburndale unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to the Victory Christian Academy Storm at home by a 72-57 margin. The Bloodhounds lost against the Storm in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-34 score last time.

Auburndale lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being DEREK RAMIREZ, who went 8 of 15 en route to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Lindsay, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Auburndale's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Victory Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Auburndale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-28 win against McKeel Academy on the 10th. As for Victory Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-57 victory against Berkeley Prep on the 11th.
