Preview: Twin Valley South Panthers vs. Preble Shawnee Arrows
Twin Valley South is 1-9 against Preble Shawnee since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Twin Valley South Panthers will be playing at home against the Preble Shawnee Arrows at 7:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Twin Valley South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 80-52 loss at the hands of Brookville. While losing is never fun, Twin Valley South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while Brookville is ranked 361st).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jandon Ankrom, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Thuma, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of 12 wins, Preble Shawnee's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost to Lloyd Memorial on the road by a decisive 66-48 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Preble Shawnee has scored all season.
Twin Valley South has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Preble Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 12-1.
