Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for North Posey

North Posey proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Alyssa Heath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, North Posey saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Vaughn, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

North Posey pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Carmel, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

North Posey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Southridge on the 7th. As for Mt. Carmel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-6 defeat against Evansville North on the 7th.
