Basketball Recap: Loyal Finds Home Court Redemption Against Athens

There's no place like home for Loyal, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Athens Bluejays with a sharp 48-27 win on Monday. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 62-27 loss the last time these two teams met.

Loyal's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Athens, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Loyal has already played their next game, a 59-24 loss against Stratford on the 4th. As for Athens, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Assumption at 7:15 p.m. Assumption will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Athens surely won't give up without a fight.
