Recap: Carolina Christian Lions vs. Hickory H Hawks
The Carolina Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Hickory H 73-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hickory H to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ze Maddox, who scored 10 points. The contest was Maddox's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Parker Shepler, who scored 15 points.
Carolina Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hickory H, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
After both having extra time off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Hopefully Hickory H focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. They will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carolina Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
