Preview: Cass Colonels vs. Woodland Wildcats
Cass is 10-0 against Woodland since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cass Colonels will be playing at home against the Woodland Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cass and five for Woodland.
Cass suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-24 loss at the hands of Dalton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cass has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Woodland took a serious blow against Cartersville on Friday, falling 58-25. Woodland has struggled against Cartersville recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Cass has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Woodland, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-9.
Everything came up roses for Cass against Woodland in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 56-25 victory. Does Cass have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
