Basketball Game Preview: Mill River Minutemen vs. White River Valley Wildcats

Mill River is 0-4 against White River Valley since December of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Mill River Minutemen will look to defend their home court against the White River Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mill River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Twin Valley on Monday, sneaking past 43-40. The win was some much needed relief for the Minutemen as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, White River Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Phantoms, posting an 88-29 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

White River Valley's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Mill River, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.
