Basketball Recap: Corbett Comes Up Short

Corbett lost against Neah-Kah-Nie back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Corbett Cardinals came up short against the Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates, falling 76-54. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Pirates are ranked 55th).

Corbett's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Neah-Kah-Nie, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Corbett will head out on the road to face off against Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Neah-Kah-Nie, they will challenge Yamhill-Carlton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
