Basketball Recap: Calhoun County Starts off Right with Win over Allendale-Fairfax

Calhoun County took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They snuck past the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers with a 43-39 victory. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Calhoun County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Wallace, who posted nine points. A'Darion Sumter was another key player, putting up eight points.

Allendale-Fairfax dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Calhoun County will be playing at home against Ridge Spring-Monetta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun County is facing Ridge Spring-Monetta at the right time seeing as Ridge Spring-Monetta is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Allendale-Fairfax, they will welcome Hampton County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
