Baseball Game Preview: McLoud Redskins vs. Seminole Chieftains

For the second straight game, McLoud will face off against Seminole. The Redskins will head out to square off against the Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McLoud hasn't scored more than two runs for six games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, McLoud turned things around against Seminole on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chieftains a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Redskins have posted since March 20th.

Not much got past Jason Key, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Seminole off the board. Key also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because McLoud is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, McLoud saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

McLoud's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 4-11. As for Seminole, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
