Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Academy Comes Up Short

Patrick Henry Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 72-40 loss at the hands of the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Patrick Henry Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Daivon Glover, who posted 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowen Croft, who scored 11 points and seven rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hilton Head Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Harpring, who went 13 of 23 en route to 35 points along with seven boards and five assists. Billy Barron was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points and six assists.

Patrick Henry Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Hilton Head Prep, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Patrick Henry Academy will face off against Hilton Head Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hilton Head Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-48 defeat against St. Andrew's on the 18th.
