Basketball Recap: Derrick White Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Chestatee

Social Circle's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 58-51 victory over the Chestatee War Eagles. For the Redskins, this counts as revenge for the 59-41 win the War Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2014.

Social Circle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derrick White out in front who went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points. That's the most points White has posted since back in December of 2023. Jameccus Hardge was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double on nine points, nine assists, and nine steals.

Social Circle's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Chestatee, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Social Circle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-45 victory against Oconee County on the 28th. Chestatee and Lassiter will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Lassiter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season.
