Baseball Recap: Richland Bears vs. Climax Springs Cougars
While Richland's victory against Climax Springs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Cougars 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ethan Butteris made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run was his first of the season.
